I hired a company called opera fashion group inc in 2009, they do business online at www.operaswimwear.com, they billed themselves as manufacturers of swimwear "experts" in private line manufacturing. i paid them $$32,500 dollars to produce a line for me so i could sell it online.
well, they took my money and didnt deliver at all what i order, and some items not at all, then simply stopped returning phone calls and emails from my lawyer. i took them to court in NYS civil court and after more than 5 appearances in front of 3 different judges, and won, the judge ordered SUELI COSTA and opera fashion group inc to pay me $25,000 plus interest in the court judgment. but all they simply did was incorporate other companies (with the same name just different entity and continue with the same website to do business as usual to this day, some of their "new company names are:
opera fashion group llc
opera by sueli costa llc
the owner sueli costa and her company both lost in court and were ordered to pay me. they havent to this day and they continue to do business online as if nothing has happened. they have closed all their old bank accounts and opened new ones with the new company names which i cant touch legally.
to see some of the legal documents from the trial, INCLUDING THE COURT JUDGMENT THAT CLEARLY STATES THEY WERE IN BREACH OF CONTRACT you can go here:
BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE STILL OUT THERE.
